Day 01: Arrival Luang Prabang
Upon arrival, you would be met and transferred to our hotel. This afternoon, we will tour Luang Prabang. Sitting at the confluence of Mekong and the Khan rivers, this is the most beautiful city in region. Its many historical building is very well preserved and the medieval ambience also remains intact. We will visit Wat Visunalat, Wat Aham, and ascend Mt Phousy for a panoramic view of the city and the surrounding landscape. Overnight a hotel in city
Day 02: Luang Prabang ( Breakfast / Lunch included )
After breakfast at hotel. This morning, visit the former Royal Palace and National Museum (close on Tuesday and Sunday afternoon) and Wat Xieng Thong (Golden City Temple), the city’s most magnificent temple by the Mekong. Then, we catch a traditional long boat trip up the Mekong river to visit the famous Pak Ou cave. The upper section of the cave is part of a limestone cave staffed with Buddha images of all styles and sizes. En route, we will also visit Ban Muangkeo, a village known for making Lao traditional rice whisky and Ban Xang khong, well known for its wood paper making and also Lao silk weavings and natural dyes. Day 03: Luang Prabang - Xiengkhouang ( Breakfast / Lunch included )
After breakfast, we make our way over the mountains to Xieng Khouang, the province which is best-known for having been heavily bombed during Indochina War, apart from the famous historic Plain of Jars. The journey takes about 8 hours and we shall make stops at villages to observe the rural life of local people, including ethnic minorities. Upon arrival in Phonsavanh, the capital of Xiengkhouang province, check into your hotel and the rest of the day is free at leisure for relaxing after the long drive. Overnight at hotel in town
Day 04: Xiengkhouang - Plain Of Jars ( Breakfast / Lunch included )
After breakfast at hotel, we drive 11 km away to visit the Plain of Jars 1 and continue to drive to the Plain of Jars 2, the archaeological stone Jars, which dated back at least 2000 years ago. In the afternoon, we drive about 1 hour to visit Muang Khoun, the old capital of Xieng Khouang where we will still see some ruins left over from the war such as Wat Phiavat and former French settlements. Day 05: Xiengkhouang - Vientiane ( Breakfast / Lunch included )
After your breakfast, we will visit both the fresh produced market and also central market in Phonsavanh before you are transferred to Xiengkhouang airport for flight to Vientiane.
Upon arrival, you would be met and transferred to hotel. In the afternoon, we tour Vientiane starting with a visit the religious museums of Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple to have been survived from the Siamese war of 1828; Pha That Luang, the most sacred monument in Laos and Talot Sao Market. Overnight at hotel in Vientiane
Day 06: Vientiane ( Breakfast included )
Following breakfast at hotel. You would be met and transferred to the airport for your flight. End of our services!
